this is who we are

Our story…so far

Limited Addition works with nearly a dozen vineyards and twenty different grape varieties to craft low intervention cool climate wines of distinction and character in the Willamette Valley.

this is what we stand for.

Welcome to LImited Addition-

Limited Addition wines was born out of the conviction that Oregon’s Willamette Valley was an exceptional winegrowing region capable of growing many high-quality global grape varieties not yet planted, or even imagined here... yet.

Varieties that would suit the regions changing climate and be capable of making naturally farmed, naturally made wines, expanding the growing season, varietal diversity and build the regions resilience to climate change.

We believe that by changing the landscape of vineyards throughout the valley, every person involved in the wine industry has an opportunity for more- from the growers to the wineries theselves.

Thanks for taking this journey with us,

growing new roots

The Genesis

In 2015, our owner, Bree Stock, met enologist Chad Stock, the founder of Minimus wines. Chad shared the same philosophies about the potential of the Willamette Valley growing region for growing more than just a couple of grape varieties and also had a commitment to natural fermentation methods.

Over the next few years, they worked to expand on Chad’s work at Johan and Jubilee Vineyards in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA and Eola-Amity Hills AVA.

Their visions for diversity inspired growers who understand the need for building greater resilience in their vineyards through increasing varietal diversity for a more sustainable and interesting wine industry.

Focused on the future

Diverse varietals

The introduction of later ripening varieties like Mencia, Gamay, Gruner Veltliner, Cabernet franc, Chenin blanc and Grenache noir began in the Eola-Amity Hills began in earnest with Judy Jordans’ vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills and Chehalem Mountains AVAs.

By choosing varieties that retain naturally high acidities and thicker skins it is also imperative for clean and healthy natural ferments that grapes be naturally and organically farmed to ensure grapes are nutrient dense and can support healthy and diverse yeast populations.

Growers that work with Limited Addition are committed to sustainable organic farming practices, at a minimum, as these practices allow for minimal intervention practices with no additions in the cellar.

our owner & winemaker

Bree Stock, mw

Australian born, Master of Wine, Bree, had spent several years traveling and working in some of the world’s finest wine growing regions in Australia, Austria, France, Spain and Portugal.

In 2014, she found herself in the Willamette Valley and came to the realization that this region was being severely underimagined/underappreciated and underutilized for premium cool climate wine production.
